Development

As players, coaches, and even referees develop their skills and talents in the game of soccer, they are able to rise through the different competitive levels available in our region. This Development section of our website provides guidance from BC Soccer, our governing body, on the development pathways for players, coaches and referees. It also provides information on specific programs within our Club that individuals in these roles can access.

Competitive Options for Mid-Isle Soccer Players in Our Region:

Starting at the age of 11, players have the option of beginning competitive play in the Tier 3 “Upper Island Soccer Association (UISA)” League – at our Club, this is the Mid-Isle Mariners program. At the age of 13, players are eligible to play Tier 2 and/or Tier 1 soccer after a formal evaluation process with the Upper Island Storm and/or Vancouver Island Wave programs, respectively.
