Resources for Mid-Isle Soccer Club Players:
Monday Night Club Development Sessions
In addition to their weekly team practice session, ALL Mid-Isle soccer players are welcome (and encouraged) to attend our Monday Night Development Sessions, where our Technical Director [ Head Coach ] Bill Merriman and his college coaches help all our players learn fundamental soccer skills through fun, high-energy drills and games. Players aged 5-10 are scheduled from 5:30-6:30 on Monday nights at Forrest Field for these sessions; older players go from 6:45-8:00.
Our Club’s Technical Director, Bill Merriman, is also the Head Coach of the Vancouver Island University men’s team and the Mid-Isle Mariners U21 Men’s team. Bill has coached soccer for over three decades, and has a stellar track record of player and team development. We are extremely pleased to have Bill as our Technical Director, and his Monday Night sessions for our Club players have proven year in and year out that they are the best way for our players to improve their skills. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!
